The CHINCHILEJO Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). It is a non-profit, applied knowledge institution aimed at promoting the development of sustainable economies. Our AchievementsIn 2023, the Chinchilejo Foundation designed international projects in four countries and led 10 projects focused on sustainable development.
We offer complimentary consultancy on creating contingency and development plans for families, communities, and governments across North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Our services include advisory and essential tools to foster economic, social, and environmental development in isolated and marginalized communities. We focus on developing and implementing sustainable development projects that drive meaningful progress and uplift these communities.

Conservation and Restoration of Habitats: Protection of natural areas and endangered species through ecological restoration projects and reforestation programs. Exchanging knowledge and technologies for the sustainable development of the world. Sharing Seeds of Life is a collaborative project between the Native Communities of the Amazon Forest, the Amazon Research Institute IIAP, Farmers of Puerto Rico, and the CHINCHILEJO Foundation.
Rediscovering the Connection with Biodiversity. The Holy Grail: Connections is a collaborative project between The Holy Grail initiative in Mexico and the CHINCHILEJO Foundation aimed at raising awareness and promoting education on the relationship between biodiversity and sustainable development. The project provides free educational materials to marginalized schools and communities in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
Protecting People and the Planet’s Biodiversity. Security and Protection for the Amazon is a collaborative project between the police force of the Jenaro Herrera District Police Station, the Peruvian National Police (PNP), the communities of the Amazon, and the CHINCHILEJO Foundation.
Cultural and Nature Tourism for Sustainable Development. This collaborative project between Amazonian Communities and the CHINCHILEJO Foundation promotes sustainable development through cultural, nature, and traditional medicine tourism in the Amazon. These tourism activities are fundamental pillars for the regional sustainable development, benefiting the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of local communities.
Opportunities for All in everywhere. The Communities Market is a collaborative project between marginated communities and the CHINCHILEJO Foundation. It aims to promote the production, manufacturing, and sale of products in a way that supports sustainable development. By cutting out intermediaries, it prevents economic exploitation and the over exploitation of natural resources.
Coloring Knowledge is a collaborative project between artists, teachers, communities, and the CHINCHILEJO Foundation for early education in schools and communities through coloring books. The initiative includes the design, development, and distribution of coloring book series for schools and communities in the Caribbean, Central America, and South America. These books cover educational topics such as the importance of biodiversity, and the balance between social, economic, and environmental aspects for sustainable development.
Enhancing schools and the planet through knowledge exchange and application is essential. The Sustainable Development in Schools project promotes economic, social, and environmental growth from an agricultural perspective. This project encourages collaboration between Amazonian agricultural communities, teachers from Peru’s Ministry of Education (MINEDU), teachers from Puerto Rico’s Department of Education, agricultural communities in Puerto Rico, and the CHINCHILEJO Foundation.
